SEAI Grants
Under the Sustainable Energy Act 2002, the SEAI (Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland) was formed to promote and support sustainable energy practices in Ireland. Since its establishment, SEAI has introduced many grant schemes aimed to assist homes and businesses who wish to reduce energy usage and invest in renewables.
For domestic dwellings there are 3 energy upgrade options:
Better Energy Homes Scheme
These are individual SEAI grants for single upgrade measures. Suited to people who want to upgrade their home step by step over a period of time to suit their requirements and budget.

One Stop Shop
This SEAI grant is for a complete energy retrofit of a dwelling achieving a post works energy rating of B2 or higher with a 100 kWh per m² BER uplift.
Warmer Homes Scheme
These fully funded SEAI grants are for homes built before 2006 who meet the eligibility criteria. To see if you qualify for this grant you need to contact SEAI directly.
