Why Choose Earthwool Insulation?

Insulating the floor in your attic is the most energy efficient solution for your property. Trapping to heat a ceiling level prevents your boiler from heating the attic.

Sustainable Home Insulation

Sustainable home insulation options like sheep's wool or recycled materials not only improve your home's energy efficiency but also reduce environmental impact. These eco-friendly materials offer excellent thermal performance and durability, making them ideal for modern homes.

Energy Efficient Insulation

Investing in energy-efficient insulation can significantly reduce your home's energy consumption and costs. By upgrading to eco-friendly options like Earth Wool, you ensure a comfortable living environment while contributing to a sustainable future.

Insulation Benefits

Upgrading your home insulation brings numerous benefits, including enhanced comfort, reduced energy bills, and increased property value. High-quality insulation materials provide better temperature regulation, minimizing the need for excessive heating or cooling.

We’re a week into a much warmer house since the A-Rate Your Attic team insulated the attic ceiling, thank you! The team were brilliant, everyone we spoke with from Shay and Andy in the office, to Ben who did the on-site inspection visit, and the team who did the hard work of insulating the attic and laying flooring around the CWS tank and solar inverter, everyone was just super. Would highly recommend!

The ‘A’RateYourAttic Team arrived on time, met the spec we had agreed on (and more) and left the site spotless upon completion. They even disposed of the existing jerry-built bits and pieces of wood and plastic serving as insulation on our two attic water tanks. The tanks and piping are now beautifully insulated and wrapped, new, insulated, raised flooring has been installed to replace the old shaky MDF that was there before and deep rock wool now covers every inch of the attic including the area above the bay windows.

We just had insulation installed in our attic as the house was freezing beforehand. A Rate Your Attic were very quick with the whole process, the Assessor was great, and office was quick getting back to us with any questions. They helped with information on sorting out a grant application as well. The guys that came to the house to do the installation were very nice as well, no mess, no fuss.

Frequently Asked Questions

Looking for more info? Here are some things we're commonly asked

What Insulation Do You Have?

To understand your attic's insulation, consider existing materials like yellow fibreglass or rockwool, typically installed at depths of 100mm or less. While effective to some extent, they may require inspection for wear or gaps. Yellow fibreglass offers affordability but might need supplementation. Rockwool provides durability but can degrade over time. Identifying these materials helps gauge insulation effectiveness and informs decisions on upgrades for better comfort and energy efficiency. For optimal energy efficiency, consider upgrading to eco-friendly insulation solutions.

What Insulation Should I Have?

If you're wondering what insulation you should have, it's essential to assess your current setup. Many homes feature yellow or pink fibreglass insulation, often installed at a depth of only 100mm between the joists. However, upgrading your roof insulation can significantly enhance energy efficiency and comfort levels. Consider options like rockwool insulation, known for its durability and fire resistance, or loft insulation for its versatility and ease of installation. By prioritizing roof insulation upgrades, you can lay a solid foundation for improving overall energy efficiency in your home.
